Mohan Venkadesan

Mohan Venkadesan is an innovator & designer. He works with an inter-disciplinary design practice uniquely combining Vision Science Research, Optometry, Science-fiction, Futures thinking and Product Design. His practice explores in how design can operate as a tool for critical inquiry, storytelling and meaningful engagement, often working across physical and digital forms. He is particularly drawn to processes of experimentation, making iterations using design to question systems, reveal hidden narratives and imagine alternate futures. He aims to develop a practice that is conceptually rigorous, scientifically valid and materially sensitive contributing to conversations around responsive worlds.

He has built solutions for community eye care, launched learntech, careerfinder startups, and continue to design, create prototypes that explore how we can design a better future.

As a product developer & designer, his work has been supported by global leaders in Eyecare, grants from governments and recognized by users on the ground. The projects he does is guided by empathy, bold problem solving, and a deep belief in building systems that uplift human potential.
