BioEyes is developing a contact-based ocular drug delivery system to improve the effectiveness of treatment for chronic and post-surgical eye conditions. Current eye drops are limited by poor retention and low patient adherence, meaning most of the drug is lost before it can be effective. Our approach uses a contact lens–based platform that enables sustained and controlled drug release directly at the eye surface, improving drug bioavailability and treatment consistency. The goal is to make ocular therapy more effective, reliable, and patient-friendly within existing ophthalmology care pathways.
